The Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood is looking for a capable, dynamic, committed fall intern to help us expand our reach.  We are looking for a commitment of 20-30 hours per week.  The position is unpaid; course credit available.  This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in a career in social activism and advocacy.  Details are below.  Please share this posting with anyone who might be interested.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and PowerPoint.
• Research skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest in social activism.
• Interest in communications/media studies, psychology, or child development (preferred).

Responsibilities:

• Regularly update CCFC website with coalition news and events and important marketing developments.
• Assist in developing and publicizing campaigns to raise awareness about the harmful effects of marketing to children.
• Research issues and topics related to CCFC activities.
• Assist with publishing CCFC’s monthly newsletter..
• Maintain accurate database of CCFC members and friends.
